Above all else, it’s important to us that there aren’t any “right” answers to big decisions outside of each trait providing a single get-out-of-jail-free card over the course of the game. We want to encourage players to make interesting character decisions that have cascading effects on relationships and narrative more than we want them to carefully chart out what all of the smart options are to achieve an optimal world-state (boring from a storytelling perspective).

So in terms of impact, your decision to call Tabitha is mostly about defining the relationship dynamics the player has both with other characters and with the story itself. And looking at what happens in the mines, there are plenty of possible justifications as to why the consequences play out similarly, though I won’t say more than that ;)
